Walking this morning and I saw a paper sack on the side of the road. Normally I pick up garbage that has been thrown out along our roadway near home. The thought struck me that I needed to be careful – that it could be a distraction. I didn’t see anything so I touched it lightly – there was nothing so I picked it up to take our garbage can. As I turned to go back to the pavement, I realized I had stepped out into a small patch of very low lying of poison ivy. LESSON: Lord, when your spirit tells us to look closer at something, let us not be so quick to put aside the voice of your Spirit, let us look closer, listen more clearly, for you are trying to HELP US!  We ask You to continue to speak more loudly, more clearly. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear!
