As I was going through my day, I felt overwhelmed – but knew I was a watchman. The Lord gave me a picture of me standing on the wall of a castle being a watchman. He then showed me that HE was standing behind me on the castle wall – strengthening me and being THERE for me. He then showed me warrior angels – standing on the wall at the top of the castle – with bows drawn ready to “take out” anything that would come against the castle upon which I was standing and watching.
Jesus does not expect us to watch or war by ourselves. HE JUST EXPECTS US TO STAND! He is our strength and truly our “hightower”. Angelic help is also there as in Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them. And in Psalm 91:11-12 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in ALL your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
